credit on the street. Service can be unreliable in remote areas, including the Arquipélago
dos Bijagós.
VISAS
All visitors, except nationals of Ecowas countries (who must pay CFA1000 on entry),
need visas before arrival. Visas can be valid for single or multiple entries and the price
varies depending on the point of issue.

Guinea-Bissau's international airport is on the outskirts of Bissau. The main airlines flying
to Guinea-Bissau are TAP Air Portugal, Royal Air Maroc, Senegal Airlines and TACV
Cabo Verde Airlines. Private planes can also be arranged.

Transport for Guinea (plan on 24 to 48 hours to reach Conakry, depending on road/taxi
conditions) leaves from Gabu and traverses a rough pass through the beautiful Fouta Dja-
lon mountains via Labe. There is an alternative, tougher route via Quebo and Pitche.
