From Paga, there are frequent
tro-tros
to Bolgatanga (C4, 40 minutes); on the Burkina
side, you'll find plenty of onward transport to Pô and Ouagadougou.
There were rumours that a direct bus service between Kumasi and Bobo-Dioulasso via Wa
would start running in 2013. Until then, you'll need to get a
tro-tro
from Wa to Hamale.
On the Burkina side, you'll find transport to Diebougou and then Bobo-Dioulasso.
Côte d'Ivoire
STC buses run daily between Accra and Abidjan (C39 + CFA1000, 12 hours).
Otherwise you'll find
tro-tros
running between Takoradi and Elubo (three hours), from
where you can cross into Côte d'Ivoire and find onward transport to Abidjan.
Togo
The easiest way to cross into Togo is to catch a bus or a
tro-tro
to Aflao, pass the border
on foot and catch a taxi on the other side to central Lomé.
Overlanders may prefer to cross at the less hectic Wli border post near Hohoe.

There are several daily flights from Accra to Kumasi (45 minutes), Takoradi (35 minutes)
and Tamale (1¼ hours). They tend to be relatively cheap and a huge time saver when trav-
elling north.
BUS
Buses are preferable to
tro-tros
for long journeys as they tend to be more comfortable and
reliable.

There is always a charge for luggage. Theoretically, it should be per kilogram, but in prac-
tice, large rucksacks or suitcases just tend to be charged a flat C1.

Driving is on the right in Ghana.
