Swad Fast Food
INDIAN
$
(Gumbihini Rd; mains C7-13; 9am-10pm)
The name might not be a winner, but this is one of the
best places to grab a bite in Tamale. The speciality is Indian, but there are also such de-
lights as French onion soup, red red (a Ghanaian dish with beans) and fish-finger sand-
wiches.
Sparkles

Western staples such as sandwiches. It's popular with local volunteers.

The Jungle Bar, on the grounds of the TICCS
Guesthouse, is on a leafy balcony with an all-wood bar, cable TV and comfy benches and
is probably the nicest spot for a drink in Tamale. Also serves food.

Sit on the rooftop terrace and let an ice-cold beer and
the sweet sounds of northern hiplife into your world at this decent drinking spot.
