Sasakawa Guesthouse GUESTHOUSE $

built to accommodate Cape Coast University's visiting lecturers, this modern facility on
the university's beautiful campus is now open to all. It is an absolute bargain, with wi-fi,
satellite TV, air-con and breakfast all included in the price, and it's a great place to meet
young Ghanaians. The campus is about 5km out of town, served by a constant stream of
taxis.
Mighty Victory Hotel HOTEL $$

options in town: rooms are modern and cool, with crisp white sheets and hot running wa-
ter. There's a good on-site restaurant, fast wi-fi in the reception area (per day C5) and
helpful staff.
Kokodo Guesthouse GUESTHOUSE $$
( 024-4673486; jcasmah@yahoo.co.uk; Residency Rd; r US$50-60; ) This gorgeous, modern villa
- formerly the house of Barclays Bank's manager - sits atop a bluff in a pretty garden.
Rooms are spacious and airy, with gigantic beds. There is a wonderful restaurant lounge
(mains C15). The only drawback is the location, on the outskirts of town.
Eating
As well as the options listed here, Oasis Guest House and the Kokodo Guesthouse restaur-
ant are open to nonguests, and are definitely recommended.
Baobab VEGETARIAN $

tiny organic food bar with a wholesome touch, Baobab serves up great aubergine sarnies,
soy lattes and refreshing pineapple or bissap juice (made from hibiscus and ginger).
