A tourist taxi from Banjul International Airport to the coastal resorts costs around D12 to
D15. Private taxis cost about D200 to D400.
TAXI
Shared taxis called six-six (a short hop costs D10) operate on several routes around the
coastal resorts. They connect Bakau to Westfield Junction and Serekunda, passing through
Sabina Junction near the Timbooktoo bookshop at Fajara. You can also get six-six from
the traffic-lights junction in Fajara to Senegambia Strip in Kololi and from there to Bakau.
Simply flag a taxi down, pay your fare and get off where you want.
You can also hire yellow or green taxis (they're more expensive) for trips around town.
Rates are negotiable.
