Getting There & Away
The shiny Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport takes all of the international air
traffic. The main bus station is the chaotic Gare Routière d'Adjamé, some 4km north of
Le Plateau. Most UTB and Sotra buses and bush taxis leave from here, and there's fre-
quent transport to all major towns.
Bush taxis and minibuses for destinations east along the coast, such as Grand Bassam,
Aboisso and Elubo at the Ghanaian border, leave primarily from the Gare de Bassam

Getting Around
Woro-woro (shared taxis) cost between CFA300 and CFA800, depending on the length of
the journey. They vary in colour according to their allocated area. Those between Plateau,
Adjamé, Marcory and Treichville, for example, are red, while those in Les Deux Plateaux
and Cocody are yellow, and Yopougon's are blue.
A short hop in a cab from Le Plateau to Zone 4 costs around CFA2000. If you want to
hire a taxi driver for a day, bank on anywhere between CFA15,000 and CFA30,000 de-
pending on the strength of your negotiating skills (and the state of the economy).
