The gorgeous Migrante has
four rooms set around a courtyard of mustard yellow and bougainvillea pink, with a giant
palm tree. Each room has dark wood floors, big, soft beds and black-and-white portraits
hanging on the icy white walls, which give it an arty feel. The downstairs cafe is lovely
too. Rates include airport transfers.

Boa Vista's most magical hide-
away is an abandoned fishing village converted into a stunning eco-lodge by the Italian
artist owner. Inside whitewashed cottages, stylish and minimalist rooms showcase re-
claimed wood and clay floors and ocean views. The restaurant serves delectable food and
there's a walkway down to your own little beach. A stay here is a splurge but a worthy
one.
Eating & Drinking
For beachside meals during the day and night-time action (on weekends only), head to
Estoril beach, which has several options. The best include Social Club Boa Vista, Tortuga
and Morabeza; from Sal Rei, they appear in the order listed as you walk down.

right across the road from Migrante.
