hasn't changed in decades. Daily specials are a steal (CVE400) and sides of veggies par-

Bote neighbourhood for Mindelo's best pizza, inside the basement of a family home. This
word-of-mouth pizzeria run by an Italian from Naples has colourful wall decorations,
good Montepulciano red and a familial vibe. Reserve ahead. Tell the driver to look for
Polivalente in Ribeira Bote and don't get out until you're at the door.

and orange juice). Take Rua Camões from the main square (Praça Amilcar
Cabral) all the way up to the end, a 10-minute walk. The cool Mindelo crowd kicks off the
night around 10pm here, before moving on.
