ACCOMMODATION
Cameroon has a decent range of accommodation options, from simple auberges (hostels)
and dorm beds in religious missions to luxury hotels. Expect to pay around CFA15,000 for
a decent single room with bathroom and fan. Most hotels quote prices per room - genuine
single and twin rooms are the exception rather than the norm.
In Cameroon, budget accommodation costs up to CFA15,000 for a double room,
midrange from CFA15,000 to CFA30,000 and top end from CFA30,000. Rather than sea-
sonal rates, most hotels in Kribi and Limbe generally charge more during holidays and
weekends.
ACTIVITIES
Hiking is a big drawcard in Cameroon. The two most popular hiking regions are Mt
Cameroon near the coast and the Mandara Mountains in the north. The Ring Road near Ba-
menda also offers great hiking possibilities, but you'll need to be self-sufficient here.
