ACCOMMODATION
Ouagadougou, Bobo and Banfora have a good range of accommodation, including charm-
ing B&Bs. In more remote areas, campements (basic mud huts with bucket showers and no
electricity) are usually the only option but can be very atmospheric.
PRACTICALITIES
» Electricity Supply is 220V and plugs are of the European two-round-pin variety.
» Languages French, Moré, Fulfudé and Dioula.
» Newspapers & Magazines International versions of French- and (a few) English-language publications are
available in Ouagadougou and Bobo-Dioulasso.
» Radio BBC World Service is on 99.2FM in Ouagadougou. For a French-language service, tune in to RFI, 94FM.
