Getting Around
The taxi ride to the Aéroport International de Ouagadougou from the centre costs about
CFA3000.
Shared taxis (beaten-up old green cars) cost a flat CFA300; flag them anywhere in
town. They tend to follow set routes, often to/from the Grand Marché. Chartered taxis will
cost a minimum of CFA1500; negotiate before you set off.
A good alternative if you happen to be in a street without much traffic or would like to
be picked up at a certain time or place is Allo Taxi ( 50 34 34 35) . Taxis must be booked and
they run on the meter. They are more expensive than green taxis.
