FACILITIES: The Brown Mountain Picnic Area has 4 picnic ramadas and grills; no water or re-
strooms. The Juan Santa Cruz Picnic Area has about a dozen picnic tables in varying states of re-
pair, some shaded; restrooms and water fountain about 50 yards behind.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESS: Picnic areas only
COMMENTS: Horses are permitted but rarely seen; no dogs. This is a good hike from fall to
spring, but it gets darned hot in the long Sonoran summer. Bring plenty of water—there is none
available except at the Juan Santa Cruz Picnic Area.
