ited. Drinking-water faucets are scattered frequently throughout. Nightly rates during
the high season (January 1-March 31) are $20 for 25 nonelectric (tent) sites and $25
or $30 for 99 electric sites. During the hotter months, the rates are $5 less. Reser-
vations, recommended in the high season, can be made online at azstateparks.com/
parks/cata or by calling 520-586-2283. A nonrefundable $5 reservation fee applies.

Directions
Take Oracle Road (AZ 77), Tucson's major road going north from the west side of
town, to Catalina State Park: From the intersection of Oracle and Grant Roads, drive
north on Oracle to enter the town of Oro Valley and reach the entrance to Catalina
State Park, on the right about 12.3 miles north of Grant Road. Turn right into the park,
passing the ranger station after 0.4 mileā€”if the station is closed, use the self-pay tick-
et booth. Continue northeast about 2 more miles on a paved road to the trailhead, at
the end of the road. There is ample parking and a restroom.
