27.7/0.9 Short side road northward to parking area. Below the point of land formed by the
junction of the two rivers, about one-half mile (0.8 km) north of this point on the road, stood
the first bridge ever built over the Yellowstone River, Baronett's bridge.
27.9/0.7 Yellowstone River bridge, also called Tower Bridge for its proximity to Tower Fall.
28.6/0.0 Tower-Roosevelt Junction. The junction here is both the confluence of the Yellow-
stone and Lamar Rivers and the intersection of the Northeast Entrance Road with the Grand
Loop Road.
Just west of the intersection is a service station and, slightly farther
west, the Tower Ranger Station.
Follow the short road straight across the intersection (directly south) for
Roosevelt Lodge, its associated cabins, and a small store.
Mammoth Hot Springs Junction is farther to the west; Tower Fall, Dunraven Pass, and
Canyon Junction to the south; the Northeast Entrance to the east.
