Originally opened in 1932, and pre-WWII the KL equivalent of Raffles in Singapore, this
long-shuttered hotel reopened at the end of 2012. The heritage building has been impec-
cably refurbished, although the bulk of the rooms are in the newly built Tower wing. The
Charles Rennie Mackintosh-inspired decor of the spa adds extra elegance while the Colo-
nial Cafe and Tea Lounge play up to the heritage experience.
