FRESH UNIQUE SEAFOOD 23 $$$
( 7960 2088; www.unique-seafood.com.my ; Jln Kemajuan, SS13, Lot 9B; noon-2.30pm & 6-10.30pm) Scot-
land clams, Boston lobsters, mantis prawns, Australian snow or Ireland roe crabs, even
California geoduck - if it's got fins, scales or a shell there's a good chance that Unique will
have it. A wall of tiered tanks hold a global bounty of flapping, squirming fish and crusta-
ceans that form the backdrop to a dining hall packed with families digging in.
All the prices are clearly labelled - your choice is weighed first and the total given - if
the price is too high it's OK to have them throw the fish back and choose something else.
Once you've done the deal on the raw materials, the waiters will suggest how best it should
be cooked, for which there will be an extra charge.
Bring a group and choose judiciously and you could average RM50 to RM80 per head -
a bargain for such fresh, expertly cooked food.

Klang
SENG HUAT BAK KUT TEH$
( 012-309 8303; 9 Jln Besar; meals RM10; 7.30am-1pm & 5.30-8.30pm; ) Indian food is Klang's
highlight, but it's not the only thing on offer: the town's Chinese community is also famous
for inventing bak kut the (pork-rib soup with garlic and Chinese five spice). Sample the fra-
grant, flavoursome stew at this unpretentious eatery, steps away from the train station, just
beneath the Klang Bridge - get here early though as it's popular and it runs out of meat to-
wards the end of the opening sessions.
