light, on Jln Raja Alang, heading east past the Sikh temple Tatt Khalsa Diwan Gurdwara ( Click here ). Fur-
ther along is Masjid Jamek Kampung Baru ( Click here ), the area's principal mosque.
Where Jln Raja Alang turns south, continue on the smaller road ahead to the end where you'll turn right at a
two-level apartment block: two palms in a small field perfectly frame the Petronas Towers. South of here is
the Pasar Minggu , one of the most attractive areas of Kampung Baru with a community stage and small
wooden houses surrounding an open area where the Saturday night market is held.
At the junction of Jln Raja Muda Musa and Jln Raja Mahadi stands a photogenic turquoise and white
painted house ; explore Jln Raja Mahadi and the cross streets to see more such traditional wooden houses. Cross
Jln Raja Abdullah to Jln Dewan Sultan Sulaiman. At the end of a playing field is the handsome black-and-white
painted Sultan Sulaiman Club ( Click here ); approach via the entrance by RHC Healthcare for a closer look.
South along Jln Raja Abdullah you'll pass more wooden homes as the concrete city starts to resume. Just be-
fore the end of this walk, at the footbridge across to Dang Wangi LRT station look carefully for one more
wooden yellow house nestling behind the Jumaat Special Nasi Briani food stall.
