(Jln Raja Alang; Kampung Baru) Built in 1924, Kampung Baru's principal mosque sports a
handsome gateway decorated with eye-catching tiles in traditional Islamic patterns. Stalls

(Bangunan Warisan Kelab Sultan Suleiman; Jln Datuk Abdul Razak; Kampung Baru) Dating back to 1909,
this is the oldest Malay club in KL and is said to be where the meetings that led to the es-
tablishment of the political party United Malays National Organisation (UMNO; the lead
party in the ruling coalition) took place. The whitewashed wooden club building with a
steeply pitched Malay-style roof was restored and reopened with much ceremony in 2007.
The building is closed to the general public but you can admire it across the football field
or walk up for a closer look.
