Lots of interesting choices on the menu here, several of which you can sample to-
gether on tasting plates. The bar upstairs, with a deck overlooking the street, gets cranking
at weekends when a DJ spins chill and dance tunes.

A new Spanish chef has injected Mediterranean seafood flavours into
this classy, long-running restaurant. There's ambitious combinations of flavours and tex-
tures but not everything works - choose carefully! The beautiful dining room has tables
surrounding a reflecting pool. There's an equally stylish bar upstairs and a newer, partially
open-air bar out front serving a tapas menu.

There's no shortage of restaurants in Bukit Bintang serving Middle Eastern food
but few as classy or consistently good as Al-Amar. Choose from a tasty range of
mezze
and grilled meats or go simple with a
shawarma
sandwich. There's belly dancing on Fri-
day and Saturday night and a Sunday lunch buffet (RM87).
