garden's bar sits right above Central Park's tree canopy, allowing for splendid views of the
park and the city skyline all around. Sunset is when you'll find fools in love - then again, it
could all be those martinis.

This rare uptown creature serves craft cocktails and seasonal pub grub in a screen-free en-
vironment that feels more downtown than uptown. Grab a seat at the marble bar or arrive

It's still 1940-something at this fabled bar - the sort of place where the waiters wear white
jackets, a baby grand is always tinkling and the ceiling is 24-carat gold leaf. Note the
charming murals by Ludwig Bemelman, famed creator of

. Show up before 9pm
