The High Line may be the big-ticket item in this part of town, but there's plenty
going on underneath the strand of green. Chelsea is home to the highest concen-
tration of art galleries in the city - and the number just keeps increasing. Most lie
in the 20s, between Tenth and Eleventh Aves; wine-and-cheese openings for their
new shows are typically held on Thursday evenings.
