Kapha:
One of the three
doshas,
or energy, it represents the elements of
earth and water and governs the formation and structure of tissues, muscles,
bones, and sinews.

Nadivigyan:
The pulse diagnosis (given by three fingers on the wrist) that
determines your dosha profile.

Pitta:
Also a dosha, it represents the element of fire and governs metabol-
ism and biochemical processes.

Vata:
The final dosha represents the element of air and controls movement,
including digestion, blood circulation, and synapses in the nervous system.
Every evening, guest lecturers offer tips on topics such as Ayurvedic beauty techniques
or how to avoid chronic disorders, and that is followed by hot milk toddies before the official
bedtime of 10 p.m.
Accommodations in the lush French-style château, family-style gourmet vegetarian
meals, and all services are included in the cost of your stay, which ranges from $1,900 for
three days to $4,408 for seven days. Ayurveda astrological readings can be had for an extra
charge.
