esri_shapefile.xsd is the XML schema describing the ESRI ASCII GRID File to
be used with the Data Request Broker tool. It provides information about the
structure of the DataObject.

sdf-20020222.xsd is the XML schema of the
Structured Data File
implementa-
tion. It defines XML elements to be used in the esri_shapefile.xsd schema.

The Representation Information which has been created and collected have been
used in a number of generic applications which understand, for example DRB or
EAST, and plots compared to those produced by the current, proprietary, tools. The
UNESCO staff were convinced that the values adequately matched.
