Sea
The only way to arrive in the Republic by sea is aboard a cruise boat; there are no longer any passenger ferries. Lemesos
is the South's main arrival and departure port, and the port, complete with new marina, is 3km southwest of the town
centre.
The Turkish mainland is linked to Kyrenia (Girne) in Northern Cyprus by a car and passenger ferry service that oper-
ates year-round, and during summer there is also sometimes a faster passenger ferry service.
