Banks The Republic: 8.30am-12.30pm Monday to Friday; some also open 3.15-4.45pm Monday. Northern Cyprus:
8am-noon and 2-5pm Monday to Friday, 8am-noon Saturday and Sunday
Entertainment 9pm-3am Thursday to Saturday
Restaurants 11am-2pm and 7.30-11pm daily
Shops 9am-7pm Monday to Friday, closing 2pm Wednesday, 9am-2pm Saturday
Tourist offices 8.30am-2.30pm and 3-6.30pm Monday to Friday, 8.30am-2.30pm Saturday and Sunday
Arriving in Cyprus
Larnaka airport Up to seven daily buses run from 6.20am to 9pm (5.45pm in winter). Taxis cost €15-20 and take
around 10 minutes.
Pafos airport Two daily buses run from the airport at 7.30am and 6.30pm. Taxis cost €25 and take around 20 minutes.
Ercan airport Only flights originating in Turkey land here. Regular shuttle buses run between the airport and Kyrenia,
North Nicosia (Lefkoşa) and Famagusta.
Getting Around
Cyprus is small enough for you to get around easily. Roads are good and well signposted, and traffic, overall, moves
smoothly.
