during the Cold War, when Cyprus' strategic position was invaluable. Who knows what

Situated close to the Maheras Forest, this delightful rural accommodation is in the village
of Lythrodontas. It can sleep up to 14 people in self-contained rooms and has a pretty
plant-filled central courtyard surrounded by the apartments and house, all of which have
benefited by the fact that the owner is an accomplished artist. A two-night minimum stay
is required.
There are paintings and (tasteful) etchings on the walls, plenty of warm woodwork, col-
