PAFOS & THE WEST
Pafos
Accommodation in Pafos is mainly designed for package-tour groups, with only a handful
of good budget places. Although most standard hotels aren't used to independent travellers,
they will accommodate you if there is space, which outside July and August is generally
not a problem. Consider an apartment hotel, which keeps the costs down and usually equals
considerably more living space than a standard hotel. Most hotels are in Kato Pafos.

For something different, grab a room overlooking the fascinating adjacent archaeological
site of Hrysopolitissa Basilica. Soothingly decked out with cream walls, orange throws and
classy mosaic-tiled bathrooms, this is one of the better small hotels in Kato Pafos. The
hotel is fronted by a classy small bar, which also offers complimentary wi-fi to guests.

These spacious studio apartments in Kato Pafos are well equipped with kitchenettes (in-
cluding plenty of pots and plates), dining table and chairs, sofa, comfy chairs, TV and
small terraces. Some overlook the adjacent historic Ayia Marina church while others front
the swimming pool. The whole place was updated in 2013, which is thankfully not reflec-
ted in the price.
There are a couple of internet terminals in the lobby and an adjacent bar-cafe. Owner
George will give you a warm welcome.

This dusky pink hotel has been tastefully renovated. Carpets have been replaced with cool
stone tiles and the colour scheme throughout is all soothing blue greys and soft greens.
Sweeping panoramic sea views can be seen from the elegant reception area and bar as well
as many of the rooms. Those on the first floor have large private balconies.
