AROUND FAMAGUSTA
The main sites and beaches of the region are 9km to 10km north of Famagusta and around
its bay.
If you're driving you can check out some of the less-frequented inland villages like
Geçitkale (Lefkoniko) and İskele (Trikomo) of the Mesaoria (Mesarya).

Beaches
Great stretches of beach can be found from Ancient Salamis, north of Famagusta, right
around Famagusta Bay. The sea is knee deep to about 70m out and can be quite choppy on
windy days.
