AROUND PAFOS
The area around Pafos is superb for beaches, walks, traditional villages and overall explor-
ing. To visit, however, you'll generally need to take a tour or organise your own transport.
While a scooter is great for pottering around beach resorts, a car is preferable, especially
for visiting the western Troödos, the wild and desolate Akamas Peninsula or the sparsely
populated Tyllirian wilderness of northwest Cyprus.
