BUS
InterCity Buses ( www.intercity-buses.com ; one-way/return €4/7 ) has regular buses to Nicosia (Le-
fkosia; 1¼ hour), Larnaka (one hour) and Pafos (one hour) from its bus station at the new
port, inconveniently 3.5km west of the castle. They also pick up and drop off passengers
to Nicosia and Larnaka at the bus stop in front of Agia Napa Church and in front of
Debenhams department store (in the tourist area) on the main coast road. To Pafos, their
central pick up point is the roundabout in front of the old harbour.
SERVICE TAXI

Mon-Sat, to 3pm Sun) operates service taxis to Nicosia (€11, 1¼ hours), Larnaka (€10, one
hour) and Pafos (€9.50, one hour) every 30 minutes between 6.30am and 6pm Monday to
Friday, and every hour between 7am and 5pm on weekends. They will also drop you off at
Larnaka airport (€13) and Pafos airport (€13).
8 Getting Around
BUS
Emel ( www.limassolbuses.com ; Irinis) provides an urban-wide as well as regional network of
buses. Fares cost €1.50 per journey, €5 per day or €15 per week within the district of
Lemesos, including rural villages.
The useful and frequent Bus 30 operates along the seafront road between the new port
and the Le Meridien Hotel via the old harbour, tourist area and Ancient Amathous.
Emel's main local bus station, known as the Old Hospital bus station, is located 1km
north of the central port area along Irinis. Useful regional bus lines departing from this
station include:
A Bus 16 To Episkopi village and Ancient Kourion; 45 minutes
A Bus 17 To Kolossi Castle; 40 minutes
A Bus 22 To Akrotiri village; 30 minutes
CAR & MOTORCYCLE
There are convenient car parks all along the waterfront.
