In-Depth Information
I have left the eyelashes out of this drawing to make the eye more visible. If
you wish to add them, try the sgraffito method.
Foal and Fawn Eyes
The eyes of horses and deer have horizontal pupils. In low light, they widen
and become more round. The eyes are large and reflective, so sometimes
the pupils don't show very much. Some horses actually have blue eyes.
Horses and deer also have lovely long eyelashes.
Fawn Eye
Drawing baby animals with dilated pupils gives them a vulnerable and ap-
pealing look. A fawn has horizontal pupils. The eyes look dewy and wet.
