Blending Pastel Pencils
Pastel pencils are best blended with a tortillion or cotton swab.

Occasionally I like to add some soft pastel pigment to my drawings using a
cotton swab like a paintbrush. It creates a softer look when adding a little
warmth to the inside of an ear or to a little pink belly.

Rub a cotton swab over the tip of the pastel pencil to pick up the pig-
ment.
