Add Tone
Fill in the body with the French Grey pastel pencil, then blend with a facial tissue
wrapped around your finger. Don't worry if it isn't smooth, as you'll go over it later.
Draw the black area on the head and the feet with the charcoal pencil. Blend with a
tortillion.
LIFTING COLOR WITH FRESH BREAD
Did you know that when you are working with pastel or charcoal, you can sometimes
lift color with fresh bread rather than an eraser, to avoid damaging the surface of the
paper?
