In-Depth Information
Acetate is useful for making grids to place over your reference photos (see
page 16). It comes in sheets or rolls, or you can purchase clear plastic report
covers from an office supply store.
White Watercolor Paint
When adding highlights to an eye, I sometimes use a dot of Titanium White
watercolor paint instead of lifting out the highlight with an eraser. This is
especially effective if you want a bright, clear highlight. I prefer the more
opaque Titanium White instead of Zinc White, which is more transparent.
Use a small round paintbrush with a very fine point; you want a sharp dot,
not a blurred one.
