Begin Adding Tone
Refine the drawing with the 2B pencil, and begin shading on the left side of the
drawing. Blend with a tortillion. Draw the mane and tail with a 4H pencil. Draw the
eye with the 2B pencil, leaving the highlight and eyelashes as white paper, or scratch
them out with the tip of a craft knife if you prefer.
When shading the belly, leave a light edge. This helps it look round, and
helps to separate the belly from the legs.
