Sketch and Transfer
Using a 2B pencil, sketch the raccoon kit on tracing paper, using either the basic
shapes method or the grid method. Once you are satisfied with the drawing, transfer
it to bristol board. Raccoons have light whiskers, so impress them with a stylus be-
fore you begin drawing. (If you do not have a stylus, you can also scratch out the
lines with a craft knife in Step 5 if you prefer.)

Add Tone
Holding the 2B pencil on its side, lightly add tone to the head and body. ress slightly
harder to add tone to the feet. Blend with a facial tissue wrapped around your finger.
