Sketch and Transfer
Using either the basic shapes method or the grid method, create your beginning
sketch on tracing paper with a 2B pencil. Lightly transfer only the most necessary
lines to the smooth side of the white paper, either with the transfer paper or by taping
the sketch to a window. Do not press too hard or you will create impressed lines in
the paper that the charcoal will be unable to fill.
