a side road in the wine country 6km north of Mondim de Basto. The 17th-century granite
manor house is full of period charm, although the rooms are a little on the small side.
More appealing are the secluded and grassy grounds across the street from the inn -
punctuated with an
espigueiros
(granary) and a cool blue pool that offers lovely views
over the surrounding hills and nearby vineyards.
