The busiest of a string of usually happening
bars across from Hotel Infante do Sangres. It is a bit too bright inside, but the white walls,
marble bar, reggae tunes and tropical cocktails (think mojitos, margaritas and
caipirinhas
) keep the young and hip lubricated and happy.

This creative space has an art gallery in front, a tall-
ceilinged cafe (with free wireless access) in the back, and a cosy downstairs where DJs
and live bands hold court. Much like the crowd, the programming is truly eclectic, with
performance art, theatre and art openings held regularly.

The original on the strip that's now synonymous with the Porto party
scene, this whimsically decorated spot has toys, thermoses, old phones and other assorted
memorabilia lining the walls. In addition to cocktails and draught beer, you'll find tapas at
night.

A narrow, intimate bar attracting a lively but un-
pretentious artsy crowd. In addition to cocktails, there are snacks and salads, including ve-
getarian fare. DJs spin from Wednesday to Saturday night, adding to the good cheer.

Hidden off a narrow alley is this boho cof-
fee house beloved by area hipsters. Think thick stone walls, old timber-beamed ceilings, a
nice little patio out the back, funky downbeat tunes and a pretty and pouty artsy crowd.
DJs spin on Friday and Saturday.
