This museum, set in a huge complex with mill wheels, restaurant and rustic buildings, has
all the information you'll ever need on local bread production. The highlight is the
traditional-style shop. It's 1km northeast of the centre on the road to Sabugueiro.
Museu do Brinquedo

) Near the turismo, this museum traces the history of Portuguese toys, from the Victorian
to the contemporary. There's a playroom, a collection of toys from other countries and a
workshop where kids can watch toys being made or repaired.

) Close to Seia's services but feeling a million miles away, this charming collection of
vine-draped stone cottages sits in the hills above town. The six houses are similar, rustic
and beautifully restored with kitchens and fireplaces (firewood included). A delicious
breakfast with home-baked bread is provided. There's normally a two-night minimum
stay; prices drop with extra nights. From Seia, climb the Sabugueiro road for about 5km,
then turn left 1km to Póvoa Velha. Call ahead. Wi-fi at reception only.

€85/100; ) This lovely boutique inn 9km south of Seia is a study in contrasts,
blending ancient stone architecture with colourful modern decor. There are eight rooms in
the renovated main house, with two larger self-catering units off-site in the same village.
Guests have access to a sauna, Turkish bath, massage room and weight room, although
plenty of folks are happy just chilling by the infinity pool, on a sunny terrace where the
rush of a nearby waterfall provides the background music.
