In-Depth Information
Adega Oceano
( 262 561 161; www.adegaoceano.com ; Av da República 51; d Aug €85; ) This cordial little ocean-
front place offers much nicer amenities than you'd expect from the exterior appearance.
The rooms should all have been remodelled by the time you read this; they are compact,
with flatscreen TV and excellent modern bathrooms. Those at the front have nice views
across the beach to the cliffs and waterfront. As with any place this close to the action,
street noise can be a problem.

Ribamar
OFFLINE MAP
( 262 551 158; www.ribamar.pai.pt ; Rua Gomes Freire 9; d €70-90; ) Rooms at this seafront hotel
are brighter, frillier and airier than the musty and lugubrious halls might suggest. Bath-
rooms are clean and nicely tiled, and the two corner rooms (11 and 21) have little bal-
conies with great ocean views. Price varies according to the vistas; low-season you can
bag a room for half the rate. Streetside revelry can be noisy here.
