In-Depth Information
Restaurante A Fateixa
( 283 996 415; Largo do Cais; mains €8-15; lunch & dinner Thu-Tue) A Fateixa delivers good grills
and seafood dishes - try the tamboril (monkfish) rice for two - and it has breezy outdoor
tables. It's excellent value given its perfect setting down by the river.
SEAFOOD €€
Conversas com Sal
( 283 998 078; Avenida Marginal Edifício Milfontes; mains €12-17; noon-2am Dec-Oct; ) Milfontes
goes cosmopolitan at this hip abode, which screams 'chill out' and where anything goes:
candelabra, surfboards, retro sofas, guitars, board games. And we haven't even got to the
food, an esoteric range of petiscos, main meals, delicious desserts and tea infusions.
CONTEMPORARY €€
Drinking & Nightlife
Lua Cheia & Manjedoura
( 964 923 571; Rua António Mantas; 8.30pm-4am Mon-Sat ) Try saying this place's name after a
few drinks. Opened in 2013 and, at the time of research, Milfontes' trendiest drinking
hole.
BAR
Café Azul
(Rossio 20) Always lively, whatever the time of year, even if the rest of the town is dead.
This is a jovial bar with a pool table and lots of papier-mâché sharks, octopuses and squid
hanging from the ceiling.
