Despite its name, this five-day event encompasses a wide range of contemporary and
world musical styles. Concerts are held at various indoor and outdoor venues in Évora.
It's held in summer (dates change annually).

this welcoming guesthouse - a converted house in the historic Arabic quarter - is new age
but not grungy, quirky but not gimmicky. It offers a good selection of rooms and dorms;
the themed 'Fernando Pessoa' dorm appropriately has an antique desk as its showpiece
(Pessoa was Portugal's famed poet).

A good ol' fashioned
hostel where small neat dorms with bunk beds are the norm (including a separate female
dorm; there's one private room) and there's a communal kitchen. It's located right on the
plaza and up a couple of flights of stairs. It sleeps 20 in total so it's not overwhelming,
there's a small roof terrace, and the friendly owner, Nelson, will point you in the right dir-
ection. Price includes continental breakfast.
