Getting There & Away
BUS
Eva ( www.eva-bus.com ) express buses run to Lisbon (€20, four hours, four to five daily), as do
Renex (Av da República 101) .
Buses run frequently to/from Faro (€3.25, 20 minutes), and to/from Tavira (€4.25, 40
minutes).
TRAIN
Regular trains connect to Faro (€1.60, 10 minutes, every one to two hours) or east to Fuz-
eta (€1.60, 10 minutes) and Tavira (€2, 30 minutes).
Getting Around
Handy municipal buses run 'green and yellow routes' around town, including to the
campground and supermarkets.
Ferries run out to the ilhas from the pier at the eastern end of Jardim Patrão Joaquim
Lopes. Boats run to Ilha da Armona (€3.60 return, 15 minutes, at least nine daily June to
mid- September , hourly July and August, around four daily mid-September to May); the
last trip back from Armona in July and August leaves at 8.30pm.
Boats also go to Ilha da Culatra (€3.60 return, 30 minutes) and Praia de Farol (€4.20 re-
turn, one hour), with six daily from June to September and four daily from mid-September
to May.
