( 081 837 07 88; www.quisi.com ; Via Camerelle 2, Capri Town; r/ste incl breakfast
from €300/620; mid-Mar-1st week Nov; ) One of only three hotels here to
boast a five-star L (luxury) rating, the Quisisana is Capri's most prestigious address and,
fittingly, a few espadrille steps from the Piazzetta. A hotel since the 19th century, it's a
bastion of un-apologetic opulence, with two swimming pools, a fitness centre and spa,
subtropical gardens, restaurants and bars. Rooms are suitably palatial with cool colour
schemes and classy furniture.

€95-130, tr €105-150, incl breakfast; Apr-Oct; ) A welcoming, old-school
hotel, the Loreley is surrounded by mature gardens and, despite being located just off the
main road into Anacapri, is surprisingly quiet. Rooms are spacious and decorated in styles
ranging from granny chintz to Mediterranean classic - cool tiled floors and heavy antique
furniture.

( 081 837 03 45; www.belvedere-tre-re.com ; Via Marina Grande 264, Marina Grande;
s/d incl breakfast €100/120; Apr-Nov; ) A five-minute walk from the port with
superb boat-spotting views, this hotel dates from 1900 and has past: the 'tre re' in the
name refers to the three kings (no biblical reference intended) who stayed here in its
Grand Tour heyday. A fairly modest two-star today, rooms have been pleasantly modern-
ised and have private covered balconies. There's a sun-bronzing terrace on the top floor.
