night) Located to the east of the castle, this restaurant clings limpet-like to the vertiginous
cliff side guaranteeing uninterrupted sea views. When you are not gazing at the view, you
can enjoy dishes like octopus carpaccio , peppered fillet steak, and plenty of pasta and
pizza choice. This is a popular spot for wedding parties, so be sure to reserve ahead.

fumo, this is a favourite choice of the locals. An unassuming place with an outside terrace,
Il Capriccio has a gracious host in owner Enxo. The menu runs the gamut from seafood
classics such as zuppa di cozze (mussel soup) and polipetti affogati (poached octopus) to
less fishy options such as zuppa di ceci (chickpea soup).
The crostata della nonna (grandma's cake) is as promising as it sounds: a delicious
confection of puff pastry, almonds and seasonal fruit.

Follow the signs to La Piazzetta from the castle, via a short tunnel, and blink hard when
you emerge at this movie-set marvel of a piazza with its terraced restaurants, pastel-col-
oured houses and stunning situation. Divino is fittingly traditional, right down to the
chequered tablecloths. Grab the romantic table on the small terrace for the best views.
The menu has local favourites like pasta e fagioli (pasta and white beans) and grilled
swordfish, plus daily well-priced menus.
