Nature Trails
The park has 15 well-marked nature trails that vary from relatively easy strolls to serious
hikes requiring plenty of stamina and a good set of knees. The countryside in the park is
stunning and dramatic and, if you're here in spring, you'll experience real flower power:
delicate narcissi, wild orchids and tulips hold their own among blowsier summer drifts of
brilliant yellow ox-eye daisies and scarlet poppies.
Thickets of silver firs, wild chestnuts and beech trees add to the sumptuous landscape,
as do the dramatic cliffs, pine-clad mountains and fauna, including wild boars, badgers
and wolves and, for bird watchers, the increasingly rare golden eagle.
