Villa Roma Antiquarium
( 089 85 28 93; Via Capodipiazza 28; 9am-7pm) The splendid 1st-century
Villa Roma Antiquarium is a typical example of the sort that Roman nobles built as holi-
day homes in the period before Mt Vesuvius' AD 79 eruption. The best-preserved rooms
surround the garden on the lower level.
There's also an interesting two-room museum exhibiting various artifacts, including a
collection of 6th-century BC to 6th-century AD amphorae.

Gustaminori
Food lovers on the coast gather in Minori in early September for the town's annual food
jamboree with pasta stalls (and the like) throughout the town, as well as live music.

estrian street, Giardiniello has been pleasing local palates since 1955. Sit on the outside
terrace surrounded by fragrant jasmine and enjoy a 40cm pizza to share (€16) or a girth-
expanding menu with the local specialty scialatielli followed by local fish and dessert,
plus wine.
