Metrò del Mare ( 199 44 66 44; www.metrodelmare.com ) Operates summer-only ser-
vices between Naples and Amalfi (€18, two hours, two daily), Positano (€8.50, 20
minutes, three daily), Sorrento (€14, one hour, 15 minutes, two daily) and Salerno (€8.59,
50 minutes, one daily).
Bus
SITA ( 199 73 07 49; www.sitabus.it ) Located in Piazza Flavio Gioia, SITA runs at
least 12 buses a day from the piazza to Sorrento (via Positano), and also to Ravello,
Salerno and Naples. You can buy tickets and check current schedules at Bar Il Giardino
delle Palme (Piazza Flavio Gioia) , opposite the bus stop.
Car & Motorcycle
If driving from the north, exit the A3 autostrada at Vietri sul Mare and follow the SS163.
From the south, leave the A3 at Salerno and head for Vietri sul Mare and the SS163.
Parking
Parking is a problem in this town, although there are some parking places on Piazza Fla-
vio Gioia near the ferry terminal (€3 per hour), as well as an underground car park ac-
cessed from Piazza Municipio with the same hourly rate.
