The profile of the clusters is supplemented by the chart in Figure 6.16 which
depicts percentage deviations from the overall mean values. Clusters were then
labeled accordingly and concluding tables which summarized their differentiating
characteristics were constructed, as follows.
Segment 1: Revolvers
Behavioral Profile
• Increased balances.
• Average purchases, mainly one-off.
• Low cash advance usage.
• Increased balances compared to their purchases suggest that they tend to carry
past balances; this conclusion is also indicated by increased usage of their limit
(balance to credit limit ratio).
• They seem to pay a small amount of their due balance every month, as indicated
by the low payments to statement balance ratio. Their ''revolver'' behavior is
also suggested by the fact that they have the lowest percentage of months with
full payment of their due balance.
